Adab of the Ziyarat

آدابِ حاضری

The friends of Allah are honoured because of their nearness to Him. The visitor comes to remember Allah, to learn from a life of sincerity and to pray. These simple manners keep the visit pure.

  • Enter with wudu and a covered head, and greet with Salam.
  • Recite Surah al-Fatiha and Surah al-Ikhlas, and send durood.
  • Pray for the departed and for your own family. Ask Allah alone.
  • Keep your voice low and your phone silent.
  • Prostration is for Allah alone. Show love through adab.
  • Take a share of the langar and leave with gratitude.
